地元栽培のホップを使用した香り高い限定ビールが誕生！

～「天空般若」ができるまで～

高野山に続く参詣道にある標高600Mの「富貴（ふき）」地区は
かつて宿場町として賑わい
漢方の原料となる当帰（とうき）の有数の産地でした。

国内では珍しく、今でも当帰を栽培していますが
高齢化により耕作放棄地も増えていました。

どうにかかつての活気ある緑の町にしたいという思いから
耕作放棄地を活用するプロジェクトが立ち上がりました。

抗菌作用があり薬草としても使われてきたホップは
標高が高く涼しい気候のなかで育つ作物として最適と考えられたのです。

The heavenly taste aromatic hops limited beer “Tenku Hannya” (lit. Celestial wisdom)  is born!

Hidden story before “Tenku Hannya” (lit. Celestial wisdom)  is born:

600-meter above the sea, the “Fuki” district on the pilgrimage route leading to Mt. Koya,
once a prosperous post town
of a production area of Angelica Acutiloba (tōki in Japanese), used as a crude drug for Kampō (the Japanese adaptation of Traditional Chinese medicine).
Although rare in Japan, Angelica Acutiloba is still being cultivated,
but the number of abandoned farms has increased due to the aging of the population.

A project to utilize abandoned cultivated land was launched
with the desire to somehow make it again a vibrant green town.

Hops, which have antibacterial effects and have been used as medicinal herbs,
were considered to be the optimal crops to grow in high altitude and cool climates.

～「売れなくてもいい」ビール？～

実は、このクラフトビールは販売を最大の目的としていません。

ホップという地域資源が産業となり、耕作放棄地が減少し
雇用の創出が行える地域活性化を目的としています。

この商品が地域発展のきっかけになればと考えています。

The main purpose of this local beer is not its sale.

“Tenku Hannya” is local limited beer using locally grown hops.

Actually, the main purpose of this craft beer is not its sale.
The purposes are to revitalize the region where hops, a local resource, becomes an industry,
the reduction of abandoned farms, and the creation of jobs.

We wish this product will be a catalyst for regional development.

2020年9月現在、常喜院では酒類販売免許を有しておりませんため
「天空般若」は宿坊にお泊り頂いた方　
または
当院におきましては
宿泊されずともお立ち寄り頂き、当院の中でお飲み頂くことが出来る方

にのみ提供させて頂いております。

As of September 2020, we have not yet obtained a liquor sales license at our temple,
so it is only provided and can be solely drank by those who visit our temple or stay at our pilgrim’s lodging.
