Nankai Limited Express Rapit to [Tenga-Chaya] Station → Change train in Hashimoto Station to Nankai Koya line [Gokuraku-bashi] Station → Koyasan

■From Shin-Osaka Station
Subway Midosuji Line to [Nanba] Station → Nankai line [Nanba] Station → Change train in Hashimoto Station to Nankai Koya Line [Gokuraku-bashi] Station → Koyasan

※Between Nankai Railway [Nanba] Station ~ [Koyasan] Station, limited express operates 4 round trips per day (time duration 1hr 40mins) Express operates once every 30 mins (time duration approximately 2 hours).

■From Wakayama / Nara direction
JR Wakayama Line to Hashimoto Station → Change train in Hashimoto Station to Nankai Koya Line [Gokuraku-bashi] Station → Koya-san

【Access from Koya-san Station to Jokiin】

A bus bound to [Oku no In] or [Daimon] is parked in front of Koyasan Station.。
※Bus bound to [Daimon] has a bus stop nearby Jokiin so it is recommended.
※Depending on the time of the day, there may be bus only bound to [Oku no In]

When taking bus bound to [Daimon], please get off at no. 16 bus stop [Kongobushi Mae].
With the bus stop and Kongobu-ji in the back, the building on the right side across the road is Jokiin.
It is a 1 minute walk.

When taking bus bound to [Oku no In], please get off at no. 6 bus stop [Senjuin (East)].
Opposite from direction of the bus, please walk towards [Kongobu-ji].
There is a bus stop in front of Kongobu-ji gate. (No. 16 bus stop [Kongobu-ji Mae] mentioned above)
With the bus stop and Kongobu-ji in the back, the building on the right side across the road is Jokiin.
It is a 10 minute walk.
※It would be easier if you ask the bus driver the location of Jokiin before getting off the bus.

Access by car

【! Attention !】
When searching for the shortest route to Koyasan with the navigation system,
A quite steep old national road
going through National Route 300~399 will be selected.

Instead of using your GPS, first come to
Koyasan Daimon (coming from Osaka/Wakayama/Hashimoto)
or
Koyasan Nakano-bashi (coming from Ryujin/Hongu/Shirahama).
>From there, please re-enter the address of the temple into your GPS. This is the safest and fastest route to the temple.

To Hashimoto through National Route 170, 371 → to Koyasan Daimon through Route 480
About 2 hours and a half hour ~ 3 hours

■From Shirahama
To Tanabe through National Route 42, → Koyasan “Nakanohashi” through Koya Ryujin Sky Line,
3 ~ 4 hours

■From Nagoya
Higashi-Meihan Expressway Kameyama I.C → Meihan Expressway, Nishi-Meihan Expressway Koriyama I.C → Route 24, Keinawa Expressway Kihoku Katsuragi I.C → Koyasan “Daimon” through Route 480
